Our Work Stages

Stage 0 – Strategic Definition
An initial consultation to discuss your aspirations, budget, and overall objectives. At this stage we consider feasibility, explore opportunities and constraints, and advise on the best route forward before any design work begins.

Stage 1 – Preparation and Brief
We help you define a clear project brief, identifying your requirements, timescales, and budget. We also review planning policy, site information, and statutory considerations to establish a strong foundation for design.

Stage 2 – Concept Design
Early design ideas are developed into concept proposals showing layouts, form, and appearance. We present options for discussion, helping you visualise the possibilities and refine the direction of the project.

Stage 3 – Spatial Coordination (Developed Design / Planning)
Your preferred design is progressed and coordinated with input from other consultants where needed. Drawings and documents are prepared for submission to the local authority as part of the planning application.

Stage 4 – Technical Design (Building Regulations)
We prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications required for Building Regulations approval and contractor pricing. These documents provide clarity and ensure compliance with statutory standards.

Stage 5 – Manufacturing and Construction
We can assist during the construction phase, responding to contractor queries, reviewing progress, and monitoring quality. This ensures the design intent is maintained and the build runs as smoothly as possible.

Stage 6 – Handover and Close Out
On completion, we support the final inspection and snagging process, making sure all documentation is in place. We help ensure your new space is ready for use and that you feel confident in taking ownership.

Stage 7 – In Use
Post-occupancy support allows us to check that the building is performing as expected. Feedback is reviewed, and adjustments can be made to ensure your project continues to meet your needs into the future.
