Downside View, Stratton-on-the-Fosse

We were approached by the owners of this Victorian villa to undertake a refurbishment and add a single storey kitchen diner extension with a two storey rear extension to house an en-suite and 3rd bedroom. We also converted the attic space to add a further bedroom and landing/ study area.

We decided upon a contemporary extension for the kitchen/ diner as a juxtaposition between the older property and the new extension. The side extension was constructed from sawn ashlar to match the quoins on the existing house. 

The rear second floor extensions were built in random stone in a traditional style to match the existing house.
