Ivy Farm, West Yatton

Ivy Farm is based around a stunning early 18th century farmhouse which is Grade II listed and is undergoing a continuing program of works to improve and modernise to a contemporary finish.
Every effort has been made to enable the historic fabric of the farmhouse and outbuildings to come through this major refurbishment unscathed.
The property was refurbised and a new two-storey side & single storey rear extensions including internal and external alterations were carried out with the addition of proposed alterations to the existing barn to form new utility and office accommodation.

 

 



Lower Keyford, Frome, Somerset

The refurbishment of this single bedroom cottage which was set in the conservation area of Frome consists of a new kitchen and relocated bathroom to the first floor. During the construction the works uncovered an old Jacobean window with existing stone mullions which have been cleaned and now represent a fantastic feature in this wonderfully proportioned cottage.
With the cottage located in the conservation area every effort was made to enable the project to be true to its original form with new detailed timber casement windows, conservation roof lights and the use of lime render.




Keyford, Frome, Somerset

Complete refurbishment of three storey end terrace propery consisting of three apartments which were renovated to a high standard.
The property is set in Frome's conservation area and is Grade II listed and required a great deal of detailing to achieve the necessary conservation area and listed building consents. The building was previously twice the size however the house was partially demolished to accommodate a new road in the 1970's.
The new scheme was to create high specification apartments with new kitchens, bathrooms and quality fittings whilst sympathetically restoring this buildings historic fabric.

Reed House, Chilcompton, Somerset

A Grade II listed property; ABA Design has proposed to extend and convert the existing house with the current owners family having recently grown.

Reed house is in the heart of the beautiful somerset village of Chilcompton and the designs for the property take account of the listing with the additions of traditional detailing and window styles to help the conversion blend seamlessly with the existing property.

 

 



Old Manor Cottage , Edington, Wiltshire

Old Manor Cottage is a Grade II listed property which underwent a refurbishment of the existing single storey dining room and utility room with the addition of a new water reed thatch roof over.
Old Manor Cottage is a timber framed property with a vast array of lime render panelling under a traditional thatched roof.
Due to local interest the project underwent much scrutiny from the local council which meant there was a lot of design detailing and project co-ordination involved.
