Planning charges vary depending on the works to be carried out; starting @ £135.00 for domestic extensions, loft conversions and other alterations and rising to £265.00 for new dwellings and change of use applications.
Please NOTE that it takes between 2 to 3 months to obtain Planning approvals from your local authority upon submission of your application.
Planning permission is usually required if you are intending to extend your home or alter it in any way such as a change of use or the addition of a loft conversion or dividing of part of your home to create a separate annex.
If required, planning permission should be granted before any work begins. Should your development go ahead without the required permission, the local planning authority for your area may ask you to make a retrospective planning application and should it decide that permission could not be granted it may require you to put things back as they were.
